Malcolm Cooper worked at National Grid for a number of years and since 2007 has held non-executive roles and chaired audit committees at listed businesses across several sectors including CLS Holdings and Morgan Sindall. Malcolm currently chairs the audit and risk and remuneration committees at Southern Water, and the audit and risk committee at Custodian Property Income REIT, and is the Chairman of MORhomes. Malcolm’s pensions and fund management experience includes chair of trustees for an £18 billion defined benefit pension scheme, the chair and in-house fund managers and direct and direct responsibility for $10 billion of assets for National Grid (US) pension plans. Malcolm has also been a member of the Listing Authority Advisory Panel (of the Financial Conduct Authority), president of the Association of Corporate Treasurers, and chair of the Education Committee of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
