Chris Rule
Chief Executive Officer, LPPI
Chris Rule was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Local Pensions Partnership Investments (LPPI) in 2019, where he is an Executive Director on the LPPI Board and Chair of the LPPI Executive and Investment Committees. He joined the LPP Group in 2016 as Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of LPPI, with direct responsibility for leading the LPPI business and, subsequently, oversight of LPPA, LPP’s pension administration subsidiary up until April 2026 when LPPI demerged from the LPP Group.
Chris began his career as an investment risk manager and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst. He has over 25 years’ experience managing a wide range of investment portfolios and businesses, both as a direct investor and as an allocator of capital.
In addition to his executive role, Chris’ non executive experience including roles within the renewables and project finance sectors, the Transition Pathway Initiative, and the Church of England Pensions Board Investment Committee. He also serves on the Supervisory Board and Investment Committee of GLIL Infrastructure LLP and is a member of the LGPS Scheme Advisory Board Investment Committee.
