Who we are
LPPI is a collective of Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) funds that operates as an FCA-authorised AIFM. We manage assets of over £55 billion, as at April 1, 2026.
Our partners include nine pension funds: Avon Pension Fund, The Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund, Cornwall Pension Fund, Devon Pension Fund, Dorset County Pension Fund, Environment Agency Pension Fund, Lancashire County Pension Fund, London Pensions Fund Authority and Somerset Council Pension Fund.

We are a pioneer of LGPS pooling and we prioritise genuine collaboration. Our innovative Whole Scheme Management model pools 100% of client assets, while allowing individual funds to retain control over strategic asset allocation, investment objectives and risk appetite.
Our highly experienced teams of experts leverage scale and shared insights to deliver cost-effective access to investments and optimise investment returns. In fact, since 2016 we have delivered more than £250m in net cost savings for partner funds. We pride ourselves on responsive and flexible management, prioritising a close working relationship with each partner fund.

Our investment strategies focus on aligning performance with positive impact wherever possible. We aim to improve lives in the communities and regions we serve, and we can adapt investment strategies to meet the priorities and goals of individual partner funds.
We are the AIFM for GLIL Infrastructure – an innovative investment platform that allows aligned investors to invest into core infrastructure opportunities, predominantly in the UK.
We believe that complacency is the enemy of growth. We continue to be an active participant in the public sector pension conversation, and a thought leader within the wider pensions industry.
LPPI is a signatory to the UK Stewardship Code, the United Nations’ Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the IIGCC Net Zero Asset Manager initiative, the Asset Owner Diversity Charter, Climate Action 100+, Nature Action 100, and other investor initiatives and standards.
